What are Village, Citadel, and Wilds?

They are the three states a page can have on the map, and each one tells you something different about it:

• Village is a page on your site. It's the unit of the map.
• Citadel is the Village that concentrates authority on a topic: it receives internal links, serves as the reference for the subject, and it's what holds the topic up.
• Wilds is the page nobody reaches. No internal link points to it, so neither readers nor Google's crawler have a path to get there.

The useful reading is the contrast: when a topic has plenty of Wilds and no Citadel, what's missing is links, not more content.
