Why does the product use names like Village and Citadel?
Because the metaphor carries the relationship, while the technical term only carries the category. "Orphan page" says something is missing; "Wilds" says there is a place on the map nobody ever reaches, and the map shows where.
That's for the people who OPERATE the tool. Everything that goes out to the end client always uses the technical name: reports, deliverables, and shared pages talk about orphan pages, silos, and link architecture. The metaphor stays in-house.
